Our Venus Flytraps are starving! (First Fall Semester Meeting Tues., 9/4/12 1 PM at Science GH)

Open traps are reaching in all directions! We need to have a Dionaea muscipula Feeding ASAP -like the Lion Feedings that used to be held at the SF Zoo, but a lot safer for all involved. (Except for the insects!)

Traps big enough to nibble a thumb!

Flies are preferred, of course.

Flies are not necessarily preferred -earwigs are nice too and make a more substantial meal!

These plants will snap at anything!

You are invited to contact FOTGH to find out how to help with this event, or simply to express interest in attending. There will be a meeting at SFSU’s Science Building Greenhouse this coming Tuesday (Sept. 4) at 1 PM where our Venus Flytraps’ nutrition and other club concerns will be discussed.
